A+ 2006 is a solid certification that employers look for and is the industry standard for entry-level computer technicians. Every business uses computers and skilled technicians are in demand. An A+ certification opens the door to an exciting career in computer technology at an affordable price. A+ Certification requirements; To get CompTIA A+ certification, you have to take two tests: one core and one elective test. Test 220-601 (A+ Essentials) is the core exam and for the electives, you can choose among 220-602 (A+ IT Technician), 220-603 (A+ Remote Technician) and 220-604 (A+ Depot Technician). Stage 3. Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) The MCDST is an entry-level credential, demonstrating that an individual has gained the core knowledge necessary to troubleshoot hardware or software operation and application problems for end users on the desktop or client-side, based on the Windows desktop operating system. The MCDST certification covers the skills of help desk technician, customer support representative, PC support specialist, technical support representative, and technical support specialists.
