Prince2 TrainingPRINCE2 (Projects IN Controlled Environments) is the UK's de facto standard for project management. It offers a generic, best practice approach for managing all types of projects. PRINCE2 has been widely adopted and adapted by public and private sectors, and there is a rapidly growing international interest. The Registered PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification is internationally recognised. It is derived from the earlier PRINCE technique, which was initially developed in 1989 by the Central Computer and Telecommunications Agency (CCTA) as a UK Government standard for information technology (IT) project management; however, it soon became regularly applied outside the purely IT environment. PRINCE2™ was released in 1996 - it is now the de facto methodology in the UK, and is the internationally recognised methodology for best practice in practical project management. PRINCE2™ is in widespread use throughout the UK, the Netherlands, Denmark, Australia, Japan, South Africa, and is rapidly growing in France, Germany, USA, Finland and Sweden. The number of people studying PRINCE2™ is doubling every year. The most current revision was released in 2005 by the Office of Government Commerce (OGC), which has replaced the CCTA. The name "PRINCE2™ " is a Registered Trade Mark of the OGC CoursesPre-requisites - no pre-requisites for attending the Foundation course, although a basic knowledge of working on projects would be an advantage.
